BORUCAN INDIGENOUS ART
The Boruca tribe's traditional and handcrafted wooden masks are their pride and joy. These masks come in various styles and sizes and have been designated as National Cultural Heritage by the Ministry of Culture since 2017. Each mask is one-of-a-kind, hand-carved, and painted by members of the tribe. The skill required to craft these masks is passed down through generations, and the Boruca people still use them in the annual Festival de los Diablitos. By purchasing an authentic Borucan mask, you are supporting the tribe and their way of life.
